When the conversation is on your own site

Not every conversation starts in a messaging app. Some start on a product page at eleven at night, some on a screen in a showroom, some at a trade-show booth with the person standing right there. What changes is the surface and how much time you have; what does not change is that the answer has to come from your own data.

Can it answer questions on our own website?

Yes — the same agent runs on your site and answers from your own size charts, spec sheets, availability and fees. What it will not do is make the decision that sits behind the question: an admission, a valuation, a suitability call. Those become a qualified lead with the whole conversation attached.

The visitor is on your site already. The question is whether they leave with an answer.

On your own site4

Four verticals, and in each one the line between an answer and a decision

uc-029

“Which size should I order?”

— asked on a product page, by somebody about to abandon it

What you'll observe

Answered from that brand's own size chart, for that garment. Not from a general rule about sizing, which is how a return gets created at the moment of sale.

uc-030

An engineer asking for a spec sheet

— they know exactly what they want and will leave if they cannot find it

What you'll observe

The right PDF for the right variant, delivered in the conversation. The visitor gets the document and you get a lead who has identified themselves by what they asked for.

This is the highest-intent visitor a manufacturer's site receives, and most sites answer them with a contact form.

uc-031

“Which units are still available?”

— property, where the next question is always softer than the first

What you'll observe

Availability and price from your own inventory. Anything about suitability, negotiation or what the buyer should do goes to a person — those are the conversation, not the lookup.

uc-033

A parent asking about fees and batch timings

— two facts that decide whether the enquiry continues

What you'll observe

Fees and timings answered from what you have published. Admission decisions are never made or implied — including the softer version, where an agent suggests a student would probably be fine.

On a screen, with the person standing there2

Two surfaces where the conversation is public and the time is short

uc-126

A showroom kiosk, and the big screen behind it

— one person is asking and several are reading

What you'll observe

Answers the person in front of it while remembering that others can see the screen. What is private to a buyer — their rate, their history — does not belong on a display in a room.

uc-130

A trade-show booth, qualifying a walk-up

— ninety seconds, and then they are at the next stand

What you'll observe

Answers the question they walked up with and books the follow-up before they leave, so the lead survives the show. A business card in a bowl is a lead nobody calls.

Questions people ask before they try it

Is this a different product from the WhatsApp agent?

No — it is the same agent on a different surface, answering from the same catalog and the same rules. A visitor who asks on your site and then messages you gets one agent with one memory, not two that disagree.

What stops it from overpromising to a visitor who is close to buying?

The same authority limits that apply everywhere else: it does not discount, agree terms, or make the decision behind the question. A visitor at the point of purchase is exactly where an agreeable agent is most expensive.

How much work is it to put on our site?

A script tag, and the agent answers from the catalog and rules you have already given it. The setup work is your data being right, not the installation.

Test it, don't take it from us

Ask it: “Which size should I order?”

You're talking to the product. Nothing you send is added to any business's catalog.
